Lemon Furniture Polish / Soap
There are quite a few recipes out there for homemade furniture polish. This is the one I use and like because I don’t have to put it in a spray bottle. I do this every few months so it’s more like Murphy’s Oil Soap than actual polish that you use weekly. I dry dust with a swiffer the rest of the time.
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon olive oil (mineral oil will also work)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
5 drops lavender dish soap (I love the stuff from Trader Joe’s)
4 cups warm water
1 old washcloth
Directions:
Mix all in a bucket. Wring all of the water out washcloth and wipe furniture. If any water remains on the furniture use a clean dry cloth to wipe it off.
Cost:
I buy olive oil and lemon juice in bulk at Costco so it’s almost difficult to calculate the cost here. I’d say about 10 cents.
